## Description
Bonaparte at Marengo puts you in command of French or Austrian troops during the iconic 1800 Battle of Marengo. The game streamlines traditional wargame conventions to capture 19th-century linear warfare, with a slick action-point system and secret unit deployment. You'll need strategy and some luck to replicate Napoleon's historic comeback from near-defeat to decisive victory. The minimalist wooden-block design (a classic wargame feature) hides surprising tactical depth. Expect a tense 2-hour showdown where every decision could rewrite history – or at least your game night.

### How long does a game take?
About 2 hours on average, depending on players' tactics.

### Are there expansions?
Not officially, but the system inspired Napoleon's Triumph (Austerlitz).

### Worth it for non-wargamers?
Only if you're willing to try the genre – it's a great 'gateway' wargame.
