Gallia and Corsica bring fresh challenges and make the game even more replayable. Two brand-new mapsNew strategic challengesBoosts replayabilityGreat for 2-3 players (Corsica)Requires base gameAdds complexityHIGHLY RECOMMENDED ## Description Hey gamers! Ready to expand your empire in Concordia? This gem, Gallia / Corsica, brings two brand-new maps to spice up your game nights. In Gallia, things start a bit tighter: you only have one land colonist at the beginning and need to find a way to reach a harbor city before you can deploy your sea colonist. It's a different way to kick off your expansion and think about logistics. Now, Corsica presents a different challenge: it's the smallest map ever created for Concordia, featuring just twenty cities spread across eight provinces. This means the game becomes denser, with more competition for space and resources. It's perfect for those who enjoy a more intense and strategic showdown, especially if you play with fewer people, as Corsica truly shines with 2 or 3 players. Both maps work for any player count, of course, but the feel changes significantly depending on your choice. If you've already mastered the base Concordia and want more variety for your sessions, this expansion is a treat for anyone seeking new scenarios and challenges without straying from the core gameplay we love. ## How to Play Objective of the Game Concordia: Gallia / Corsica is an expansion for the base game Concordia. The objective remains to expand your trade empire across the map, establishing houses in cities to produce resources and gain influence. Players compete to earn the most victory points by the end of the game, which is triggered by specific conditions related to the purchase of Personality Cards or the construction of houses. Setup All standard rules of Concordia apply unless specified below for each map: Corsica Remove city tokens marked with a “C” from the game. The remaining 20 city tokens are assigned as usual. The small map at the bottom right of the game board serves as the bonus marker section. Each player starts with 1 land colonist and 1 sea colonist in ALERIA. Gallia Remove city tokens marked with a “D” from the game. The remaining 25 city tokens are assigned as usual. The small map at the top right of the game board serves as the bonus marker section. Each player starts with 1 land colonist in LUTETIA and places 1 sea colonist near the writing "GALLIA" in the Mediterranean Sea. Flow of the Game The game follows the standard turn-based structure of Concordia. Players take turns playing Personality Cards from their hand to perform actions. There are no additional phases or environmental turns; the game progresses as players manage their resources, move their colonists, and build houses until the end-game trigger is met. Actions and How to Play Players perform actions based on the Personality Cards played. Specific modifications for these maps include: TRIBUNE + COLONIST: In Corsica, new colonists may be placed in ALERIA. In Gallia, new colonists may be placed in LUTETIA. PREFECT: In Corsica, when collecting the cash bonus, the player receives 2 additional sestertii. ARCHITECT (Gallia only): The river SEINE between JULIOBONA and LUTETIA counts as a normal blue sea line. The dashed brown land line between BONONIA and LONDINIUM allows land colonists to cross the English Channel. It counts as 1 movement step, but a colonist cannot stop on this line; they must move past it using remaining movement steps. The sea colonist placed in the Mediterranean Sea during setup cannot be moved until the player builds in one of the 6 harbor cities marked with an anchor symbol. Upon building, the sea colonist is immediately placed on that city. End of Game and Scoring Consulte o manual para detalhes sobre esta seção. Tips for Winning Strategic Building (Gallia): Prioritize building in one of the 6 harbor cities marked with an anchor symbol early to unlock your sea colonist from the Mediterranean Sea, allowing you to expand your reach across the map. Efficient Movement (Gallia): Use the dashed brown land line between BONONIA and LONDINIUM to cross the English Channel, but ensure you have enough movement steps to complete the crossing in a single action, as you cannot stop on the line itself. Maximize Income (Corsica): Utilize the PREFECT card effectively in Corsica to capitalize on the extra 2 sestertii bonus provided when collecting cash, which can provide a significant economic advantage over time. ## FAQ ### Do I need the base game Concordia to play this expansion?
