Created with Blue Orange's permission for non-commercial use, this gem expands the base game and is fully compatible with the "The Court" expansion. The main objective remains the same: build the highest-scoring kingdom! Much like "Age of Giants" did for Kingdomino, "Fantastic Era" introduces a fifth player (in black!) and, more importantly, an extra dose of fun and interaction. This is mainly achieved through new "Fantastic Event" tiles that can turn the game in your favor or against you each round, plus a second Dragon that demands double the resources and planning. To accommodate all this, you'll need more building tiles, knights, towers, and, of course, more money! As a fan-made creation, you'll have to get your hands dirty and print the necessary components. But the reward is a souped-up Queendomino, with more twists and challenges. If you've already mastered the kingdom and want more, this fan-made expansion is a feast for those seeking novelty without straying too far from the original game's comfort zone. ## How to Play Objective of the Game In "Queendomino – Fantastic Era," you are a Lord aiming to expand your Kingdom by exploring various lands like wheat fields, lakes, mountains, and towns to find the best territories. The goal is to cleverly connect your dominoes to build your Kingdom in either a 5x5 grid (for 3 to 5 players) or a 7x7 grid (for 2 players, with each player using two King meeples of their color). You must score the most victory points from your territories and your wealth. Preparation (Setup) The "Fantastic Era" expansion pack is played according to the Queendomino rules and is compatible with "The Court" expansion pack. Shuffle the 48 Dominoes from Queendomino with the 12 new Dominoes from the "Fantastic Era" expansion pack, ensuring the numbered side is facing up. Place all Dominoes inside the "Fantastic Era" Tower (dispenser). All dominoes will be used regardless of the number of players. The "Fantastic Era" dispenser tower is placed next to the double "Builders" board. Shuffle the "Fantastic Event" Tiles thoroughly, keeping them face down. Randomly take 11 tiles and place them in a pile. The remaining tiles will not be used for the game. Do not reveal the top first tile yet; it will be revealed at the end of the first round. Regarding the placement of the "Builders" double-board: the "Buildings" tiles from the Queendomino base game and those from the "Fantastic Era" expansion pack are thoroughly shuffled together. Create two equivalent piles with the grey side up, and place them on the two reserved spots on the "Builders" double-board (red dots). These tiles have a grey side (building under construction) and a red side (finished building). Whatever the number of players, always pull 5 Dominoes from the dispenser tower at each round. Display them in a line next to the "Builders" double-board, numbered side up. Line them up in numerical order, with the lowest number near the tower and the highest number at the bottom of the line. Then turn them to the landscape side. One player takes the Kings used for the game and places them in the velvet purse. Shake it well to shuffle the Kings inside, then take them out one by one. When your King appears, place it on an empty domino in the line. The first King is free to take any domino of interest in the line, not necessarily the first one. Only one King can be on each domino. Once all the Kings have been placed, form a new row of dominoes with the next 5 dominoes from the "Fantastic Era" dispenser tower. Fluxo do Jogo The game round takes place according to the rules of Queendomino. Each player performs round actions, including, if applicable, actions related to "The Court" expansion pack. Once ALL players have completed their round actions, prepare for the next round according to Queendomino rules. Before starting the next round, draw a "Fantastic Event" tile and discard the previous one. In the first round, there is no event; the first "Event" tile will be revealed at the end of the first round and will impact the game on the second round. A new game round can start. The first step is to apply the effects caused by the revealed "Fantastic Event" tile to the concerned Kingdoms. Ações e Como Jogar The game round takes place according to the rules of Queendomino, with additional effects from "Fantastic Event" tiles. These events are revealed at the end of a round and affect the subsequent round. Here are some of the "Fantastic Event" tiles and their effects: Fantastics Events The Queen's Abduction: If the Queen is on a Kingdom, she is removed and repositioned next to the "Building" tiles. The player who owned her must pay a ransom of 2 coins (worth 1). Additionally, each player must pay the bank a ransom of one coin (worth 1). If a player cannot pay, they must mortgage a "Building" tile (turning it grey side up, removing it from end-game scoring). If they have no Building, they must part with 2 Resources. The player who owned the Queen loses all benefits associated with her presence. The Queen may return at the end of the round unless another player recovers her by building a Tower. If this event is revealed in the last round, the Queen's advantages are not counted for end-game points. The wrath of the Dragonett: The Dragonett immediately destroys two constructions among those on the "Builders" double-board. The decision is made by a majority of players, but the two destroyed buildings must be side by side (horizontally or vertically). The Dragonett cannot be requested during this round, and the destroyed buildings are discarded. The spots remain empty until the end of the round. Night of the Werewolves: Each player must turn over a Character tile from "The Court" they had recruited. This character will no longer have an effect and will not be used for end-game points. The Character tile remains inverted and cannot be used for another Character recruitment or Building construction. If a player has not recruited a Character, they must remove one of their Knights who collected tax, placing it in the "Cemetery Area" outside their Kingdom playmat. This Knight cannot be counted for end-game points. If a player has neither a Character nor a Knight out of reserve, the event has no effect. The Earthquake: A Tower collapses in each Kingdom. The chosen Tower must be on a "Building" tile next to (or diagonally) a square with a crown. The Tower is placed supine across the tile with the crown, covering it, and in line with its original "Building" tile. This impacts the value of the domain with the crown for end-game points. If a player has no crown around a Tower, they choose one and position the figurine lying on its "Building" tile. If a player has no Tower, one of their constructions is destroyed (the "Building" tile is turned grey side up or "Building" side down). The land becomes unusable for construction, and its effects are canceled for end-game points. During each round after this event is revealed, a player may perform one reconstruction of a destroyed Tower or Building per round. This involves either paying 3 coins (worth 1) to reconstruct a Building (turning it red side up) or a Tower (straightening the figurine), OR paying 1 coin to clear the land and make it buildable again. If it's a Tower, it's placed with others in the center. If it's a "Building" tile, it's discarded and cannot be built again, and the square becomes a town square under construction for the next round. If it's a "The Court" expansion tile, it's discarded under the stack on the small "Court" board, and the square can be used for another construction or Character recruitment in the next round. The gold Rush: Each Kingdom gains 3 coins (worth 1) for each crown in its domains, and one coin (worth 1) per mine land without any crown. If a player hosts the Queen, they gain an additional 3 coins (worth 1). The migration of good fairies: All Characters of "The Court" and Knights from the cemetery area are resurrected in each Kingdom. Players flip previously flipped Characters face up and place Knights back into their Kingdom on unoccupied domino squares. They do not pull any tax revenue but can count for end-game points. During this round, it is not possible to pay the Dragons. Builder’s celebration day: During the round following this event, each player may build up to two "Buildings" when they choose to make a construction. "Building" tiles are renewed after each player and after each Dragon's passage (they can be requested only once this round). Similarly, each player, during their round, when recruiting a Character or constructing a Building with "The Court" expansion tiles, can recruit up to 2 Characters or build up to 2 "Buildings". The tiles are exceptionally renewed after each player on the small "The Court" board. The harvest of the century: Each player receives as many coins (worth 1) as they have crowns in their Kingdom. All squares without crowns are refilled with their respective resources (only one Resource per square). If a player is hosting the Queen, they receive an additional coin (worth 1). Sales: When this tile is revealed and until it is discarded, each Kingdom can make purchases at a lower cost during their round. Prices of "Building" tiles are reduced by 2 pieces (worth 1), not falling below 0. "The Court" expansion tiles are reduced by 50%. When a player makes their round, they can either spend 1 Resource from their Kingdom to recruit a Character or build a visible Building, OR spend 2 different resources from their Kingdom to recruit a Character or build a Building chosen from the face-down deck (shuffling the deck first). The price to bribe a Dragon to destroy a building does not change. The "Builders" double-board and the small "The Court" board are refilled at the end of the round. Fim de Jogo e Pontuação The game ends when the last dominoes are lined up. Players take a final turn, performing only actions A to D. The last "Fantastic Event" tile is then revealed, and its effects are applied to all Kingdoms. Each player should have a 5x5 grid (for 3 to 5 players) or a 7x7 grid (for 2 players) in front of them. Some Kingdoms may be incomplete if a player was forced to discard any domino. The game then ends according to the Queendomino rules, and points are calculated in the same way on the Queendomino score pad. Points related to "The Court" expansion pack are also counted. Regarding Resources, they also count towards victory points. Count 1 victory point per section of 2 resources still present on the Kingdom, regardless of the Resource type (e.g., 5 Resources score 2 points). Add these points to the score pad. Each player adds their total points to the last box of the pad, giving them their final score. The player with the highest score wins the game. In case of a tie: If one of the tied players hosts the Queen in their Kingdom, they win the game. If none of the tied players host the Queen, the player with the most expansive territory (the highest number of the same type of squares connecting together) wins the game. If there is still a tie, the players share the victory. Dicas para Vencer Consulte o manual para detalhes sobre esta seção. ## FAQ ### Is this an official expansion?
