In Food Truck Champion, you step into the shoes of a culinary entrepreneur, managing your very own food truck and striving to become the most popular in the city! The game challenges you to hire a top-notch staff, acquire fresh ingredients, prepare delicious dishes, and satisfy customers to earn awards and, of course, lots of popularity. At the end of the day (or rather, the game!), the food truck with the most popularity points takes the championship title.

The central 'lead-follow' action mechanic is the heart of the game, allowing you and your opponents to constantly interact. Actions are divided into different staff roles: the Driver fetches ingredients from the market, the Cashier handles customer orders, the Prep Cook moves ingredients to recipes, and the Executive Chef plays ingredients directly from hand to customer orders. The Manager, in turn, allows you to recruit more staff, making your future actions more powerful. Each player also has a special wild card, the Food Truck Owner themselves, which can be used to perform any action when the situation gets tough.

Starting with a modest truck, with limited fridge and plating area, each completed order not only earns you popularity points but also gives you the chance to expand your food truck or increase your hand limit. At key moments, judges review your completed orders, allowing you to move certain cards to your awards area, granting bonus victory points for each completed set. The game ends when a specific number of popularity tokens have been claimed, and the player with the highest total score is crowned the Food Truck Champion!
