The gameplay follows a very dynamic cycle: on your turn, you can either draw three new cards or start placing your animal cards around the cheese circle. Strategy lies in how you position your creatures. Will you use a dog to chase the cats away? Or will you focus on fast mice to reach the cheese first? The resolution order dictates the flow: first the dogs jump in, then the cats, followed by the king mice, and finally the common mice.
