Imagine an RPG condensed into a fast-paced card game where the goal is simple: assemble the best party of heroes and take down dangerous monsters. In Here to Slay, you take command of a party leader — ranging from a charismatic bard to a powerful wizard — and try to recruit heroes to complete your squad. But don't expect a walk in the park; your friends will try to sabotage every move with challenge cards and mischievous magic.

The dynamics revolve around dice rolling. To activate a hero's ability or slay a monster, you must roll a value equal to or higher than the requirement. To give your luck a little boost, you can equip items or use modifiers. The real danger lies in the monsters: some have specific roll ranges that, if hit, cause the monster to fight back, putting your party in grave danger.

The chaos ramps up with challenge cards. See someone playing something too powerful? Throw down a challenge! This initiates a 1v1 dice duel. If you win, the opponent's card goes straight to the discard pile; if you lose, they proceed with their original play. Victory is achieved in two ways: be the first to slay three monsters or successfully build a full party with six different hero classes. It's a game of strategy, luck, and above all, seeing who can survive the betrayals of their fellow players.
