In Lemming, get ready for a frantic and fun race where you'll guide your little rodents across a hexagonal board. Each player controls two lemmings, and the goal is simple: be the first to cross the finish line with both! The board consists of grassland spaces, accessible with any card, and special terrains like water or hills, which require the corresponding landscape card to be traversed. At the start, each player receives a number of cards ranging from 2 to 6, depending on the player count. On your turn, you have two strategic options: discard any number of cards from your hand and refill it to six, or play a card to move one of your lemmings. Cards come in five different landscape types and are numbered 0 to 4. When playing a card, if its value is equal to or lower than the top landscape card of the same type in the discard pile, you add the values of all cards of that type and move your lemming that many spaces, ignoring terrain restrictions for grassland and the landscape type of the played card. If the card's value is higher, all cards of that type are discarded, and a new pile is started. Before moving, you can also place a bonus hex of the played landscape type on the board, strategically to hinder opponents or clear a path for your own lemmings. If there are other lemmings in your path, you can push them aside, spending one movement point for each. Yes, you can even push your own lemmings to victory! It's a tactical and highly interactive race where managing your hand of cards is crucial for success.
