## Description
Long Shot is the perfect invitation for anyone who loves a good horse race without the stuffy atmosphere of a real racetrack. Up to eight players join the track, buying horses, placing bets, and managing their hand of cards as the race unfolds. The deck boasts over a hundred unique cards, each offering purchase options, bets, or special abilities that can shift the outcome. Each round you decide whether to acquire one or two steeds to secure a share of the purse, or to gamble everything on a long‑shot and possibly walk away with the biggest payout. The game blends polyhedral dice rolling, hand management, and plenty of bluffing, so watching your opponents is crucial. A typical game runs about an hour, and its light complexity (BGG weight 1.7) makes it approachable for newcomers and seasoned strategists alike. In the end, everyone walks away a winner – either with cash in hand or the satisfaction of out‑bluffing the table. If you enjoy family‑friendly games that mix luck, tactics, and a dash of betting drama, Long Shot delivers it all at a quick, fun pace.
