But the pirate crew diverted the loot and buried it all on Cocos Island. Now, you and your band of shady corsairs must find the booty before the Spanish catch you! In Loot of Lima, the island has 24 locations split between shore, forest, and mountains – the treasure is hidden in two of them. At the start, two secret tokens are set aside (these mark the treasure spots), while the rest are dealt to players – these represent places you've ALREADY searched and know are empty. Each turn, roll three d12 dice to determine which questions you can ask opponents: 'How many locations between south and east have you checked?' or 'How many in the forest between north and west?'. With these answers, you'll cross-reference clues, eliminate possibilities, and hopefully pinpoint the gold before others do. It's a mental treasure hunt where every question could be the missing puzzle piece – or a red herring leading you astray! ## FAQ ### Does it work well at 2 players? It works, but shines with 3-4. At 2, it becomes a drier brain duel. ### Do you need paper and pencil? Yes! Note-taking is essential. You might even print themed scratch sheets. ### Is it very complex? Medium weight (2.6/5 on BGG). Rules are simple but the spatial deduction is challenging. ### Actual playtime? 60-90 minutes, but may stretch with over-analytical players. ### Is there a solo mode? Yes, but the core experience is player interaction. Solo is more of a logic puzzle. ### Minimum age? 12+ due to mental complexity. Young logic masters could try earlier. ### Are expansions needed? No. The game stands alone, though alternate maps would add replay value. ## Price Comparison ### Best International Offers - **BoardGamePrices.com**: $ 50.75 (https://boardgameprices.com/item/go?source=A&storeitemid=6756568&utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - See all on BoardGamePrices: https://boardgameprices.com/item/show/37109/loot-of-lima?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com
