With 1‑4 players, you can now summon Ice Giants—massive beings that boost your army’s power in every skirmish. The new realm, Utgard, replaces the old Jotunheim and introduces a frosty setting that demands careful movement and influence strategy. The Area Majority / Influence mechanic makes each territory a contest for control, while Area Movement lets units shift between regions in a fluid way, opening up surprise attack opportunities. This creates a continuous stream of decisions where positioning and timing are key. The components are striking: high‑quality miniatures represent armies and Ice Giants, adding visual and tactile flair to the board. The expansion also brings influence tokens, territory markers, and event cards that keep the game unpredictable. For fans of Lords of Ragnarok, Utgard expands the Norse mythological universe, offering fresh alliance and strategy possibilities. The learning curve is moderate—players who already mastered the base game will adapt quickly, but still need to master the nuances of influence and area movement. In short, Utgard delivers a rich, engaging experience, perfect for those looking for deeper strategic depth, quality components, and a touch of frost that makes the game even more epic. If you love epic battles with miniatures and want to dive into Norse mythology, this expansion is for you. It also introduces a new set of event cards that trigger weather effects, like blizzards that slow movement, and legendary quests that can grant temporary boosts or special abilities. Players must balance the risk of deploying their Ice Giants against the potential of drawing powerful events, adding an extra layer of tension. The artwork is evocative, capturing the stark beauty of the frozen realm, and the miniatures are finely detailed, making each combat feel like a cinematic showdown. ## FAQ ### How many players can play? 1 to 4 players. ### What is the average game time? 90 minutes. ### What is the complexity?
