Your goal is to amass fame and prestige, expanding your influence both within the city and in surrounding territories. Each round starts with buying cards from the market using the resources you already have. The cards act as production units: when played, they transform resources into other types or victory points, letting you build an ever‑more efficient economic engine.\n\nThe game employs open drafting, where all available cards are visible to everyone. This creates a strategic pick‑and‑block dynamic, as you must anticipate what opponents might want and decide between securing a powerful card or denying a rival's plan. Set collection is also key – gathering groups of cards sharing symbols or colors triggers special abilities, production bonuses, or direct scoring.\n\nA slide/push element appears on resource tracks: moving your markers can speed up generation of certain goods or block an opponent from reaching a critical threshold. Additionally, leaders (Lorenzo and other historic figures) provide unique powers that can swing the game when timed right. Showing devotion to the Pope is important too, as some cards require religious support to unlock strong effects.\n\nWith simple rules and light components – just cards, resource tokens, and a strongbox – the game delivers strategic depth comparable to heavier titles. In about 30‑45 minutes, 1‑4 players can explore production combos, drafting rivalries, and investment decisions that feel like a true Renaissance management experience. Perfect for fans of engine building, set collection, and richly themed historical games. ## FAQ ### How many players can play? 1 to 4 players, including a solo mode. ### What is the playing time?
