The Voidseeders manifest through nests scattered across the ship, with a main nest guarded by a fearsome Stalker, a threat that feeds on fear and insanity. Other smaller nests emerge as exploration progresses, and staying near them can result in serious wounds. The 'whispers' mechanic replaces the common noise, requiring rolls that can plunge you into madness, activating insanity cards with various effects, from one-time actions to permanent disabilities. 

Combat also changes: while Voidlurkers try to drive you insane and flee, Whisperers defend the main nest, and the Stalker and the Despoiler (a rare and terrifying appearance) bring real physical danger.
