In Nevada City, you and your family move to the Old West to establish a homestead and help the small town flourish. The goal is to outperform other settlers by building the most prosperous property and contributing to the town's growth. Each player starts with a nuclear family – mother, father, daughter, and son – and a personal homestead mat where they can develop farms, raise livestock, and operate silver mines. Initially, you already own a mine, a farm, a ranch, some money, and various commodities. The town evolves over four years of gameplay, with new buildings becoming available for construction each passing year. Each year consists of several turns, continuing until all players' characters and hired workers have been used. On each turn, you choose one of your characters to perform actions, but be careful: a character cannot repeat the same action within the same turn. Actions include buying new properties, working your own mines, farms, or ranches, claiming or constructing buildings, using existing structures, or reserving and fulfilling contracts aimed at improving the city. Each character and worker has unique skills that can optimize these actions, such as finding more silver or speeding up constructions.
