## Description
Get ready to dive into dungeons that change with every playthrough in One Deck Dungeon: Forest of Shadows! This standalone expansion to the original game throws you into a solo or two-player adventure where you build your hero from scratch, facing perils and monsters hidden within a dynamic deck. Each card presents a challenge and a potential reward: defeat an enemy or overcome a trap, and gain experience, items, or skills to power up your character. But beware, time is of the essence! The longer you take, the more sinister and dangerous the dungeon becomes, culminating in an epic battle against the final boss. Forest of Shadows adds new heroes full of personality, brand-new dungeons, extra dangers like poisons and unexpected events, and fresh mechanics to spice up the challenge. If you enjoy the idea of a quick dungeon crawl with high replayability that can be played solo or with a friend, this game is for you. You can even mix it with the base game for an even richer experience, or face this shadowy forest on your own. It's a game that tests you, rewards you, and leaves you wanting just one more round to try and survive another day!

## FAQ
### Is this game an expansion or a standalone game?
Forest of Shadows is a standalone expansion, meaning you can play it on its own without needing the base game One Deck Dungeon. However, if you already own the original game, you can combine them for even more content!

### How many players can play?
The game is designed for 1 or 2 players. It shines equally well in a solo experience and a two-player cooperative mode.

### How long does a game session take?
Game sessions are quite fast, typically lasting between 30 to 45 minutes. It's perfect for those with limited time who still want an intense adventure.

### Is the game difficult?
It presents a considerable challenge, typical of "roguelike" games. The difficulty increases as you progress through the dungeon, and dice luck plays a role. However, the sense of accomplishment upon winning is very rewarding!

### Do I need to know English to play?
Yes, the game has language dependency. While the core rules are straightforward, the cards have text that needs to be understood. Using a translated reference sheet or printed cards is recommended.

### What are the main components?
You'll find hero cards, dungeon cards (with enemies and perils), custom dice, and tokens to track your progress and abilities.

### Is this a good game for beginners?
It might be a bit challenging for absolute beginners due to the need to manage resources and the element of dice luck. However, if you've played a few board games and enjoy challenges, it can be a great entry point to more complex games.
