In *Rome in a Day* (known as *Lotta Rome* in Brazil) you receive a deck of buildings, terrain tiles of five types (field, city, vineyard, olive grove and quarry) and a pile of crystals. The game runs over four short rounds, each lasting about 15 minutes, and works like a giant "I cut, you choose" mechanic. At the start of a round you draw five terrain tiles and place them in front of you, then place two buildings on the two left‑most tiles. Using your screen, you split the five tiles into a larger and a smaller group in any ratio you like (from 5‑0 to 1‑4) and add one crystal to the smaller group. When everyone is ready, the screens are lowered and each player picks one of the groups from a neighbor (alternating left‑right each turn). The chosen terrain joins your own collection, and the process repeats in the next rounds. Scoring comes from two sources: first, each terrain type yields points multiplied by the number of matching buildings you have on or adjacent to it; second, each crystal placed on the smaller group is worth three points. At the end, the player with the most points rules the new Rome. The game is ultra‑light (weight 1.7), perfect for a quick, negotiation‑heavy, tactically deep session without a rulebook marathon. Components are simple – hex tiles, building cards, plastic crystals and split screens – but they give a satisfying feeling of empire building. It supports 2‑5 players, from beginners to veterans who enjoy board games with heavy interaction and resource trading. If you love territory‑building, cut‑and‑choose mechanics, and games that finish before the pizza gets cold, *Rome in a Day* is a perfect match. ## FAQ ### How many players can join? 2 to 5 players. ### How long does a game take?
