Imagine you're managing a wildlife park in the savannah, but there's a twist: you don't have total control over who moves. In Savannah Park, the goal is to group animals of the same species together, but the dynamic is intriguing: the player whose turn it is decides which tile all players must move on their own boards. It's the kind of game where you plan your perfect move, only for someone else to decide it's time to move that rhino you wanted to keep put!

Each player starts with 33 animal tiles randomly distributed. The board features fixed spaces, such as rocks and bushfires, and others that start empty, like trees and grasslands. When a specific tile is named, everyone picks it up, flips it face down (making it immobile for the rest of the game), and moves it to an empty space. The game ends once all tiles have been moved, and that's when the scoring begins.

Watch out for the fire! Tiles adjacent to bushfires may be removed if the number of animals on the tile matches the fire's intensity. After that, you score points for each uncovered tree and grassland, and of course, for the organization of your herds. The golden rule here is: the larger the group of the same species and the more watering holes they have around, the more points you earn. For instance, five rhinos with three watering holes yield 15 points. For those who like variety, the game offers a solo mode, setup variants for those preferring less chaos, and even an extra rule for those who enjoy bumping the lion out of the way.
