## Description
Autumn is winding down in the Savernake Forest, and the urgency is real: the animals must gather and store food to survive the harsh winter! In Savernake Forest, you act as a helpful guide organizing the woods, creating strategic paths so each animal can find its favorite treats. The goal is straightforward yet challenging: build the best possible pantry to ensure everyone stays full and cozy during the cold months.

The gameplay revolves around two decks of square cards: one featuring the animals and the other showing forest paths filled with succulent food. On your turn, you draft from a central market to expand your area, but you must follow strict zoning rules. You need to build your forest within a 4x4 grid, ensuring cards are adjacent and that no two animals ever occupy the same path. Each animal has specific tastes — the fox loves eggs but dislikes berries or nuts, for instance — and the highest scores come from matching the right animal with its preferred food.

To boost your strategy, certain animals provide special perks. The rooster helps you wake up early (letting you pick first in the next turn), the armadillo increases storage capacity with burrows, the goat improves hydration to increase food value, and the rabbit attracts new animals to your forest. With dreamy, enchanting art, the game perfectly balances family-friendly lightness with strategic puzzle-solving. If you enjoy spatial organization and nature themes, a stroll through Savernake is a must. For those who have mastered the basics, there is a dedicated two-player variant that tweaks the rules to increase the difficulty, turning the cozy experience into a more intense mental challenge.
