In Sugar Gliders, you and your friends transform into adorable sugar gliders, those cute marsupials that love nectar and can glide! The objective is simple, but the strategy is what shines: collect as many juicy fruits as possible by jumping from branch to branch on a tree full of delights. The board is a tree with 61 cells, and each player chooses their colored sugar glider. The 60 fruit tiles, with values from 1 to 5 points (purple ones are worth 5!), are randomly distributed across the board, leaving the center empty. To start, each player chooses a white fruit (value 1) and places their sugar glider on it, which becomes their initial 'jumping tile'. Each turn, you have two options: either make your sugar glider jump, or enter a brief state of torpor. To jump, you move your sugar glider in a straight line a number of spaces equal to the value of your 'jumping tile'. If you don't have one, you use one from your reserve. After jumping, the used tile goes to your reserve, and the tile where you landed becomes your new 'jumping tile'. But be careful, you can't jump off the tree or through another sugar glider! If you're in the center, you can jump anywhere using any tile from your reserve. The torpor option allows you to take the jumping tile from under your sugar glider and add it to your reserve, without moving. The game ends when all sugar gliders consecutively enter a state of torpor, or when the fruits run out on the tree. Whoever has the highest sum of points from the fruits in their reserve wins!
