The objective is simple, but the strategy is what shines: collect as many juicy fruits as possible by jumping from branch to branch on a tree full of delights. The board is a tree with 61 cells, and each player chooses their colored sugar glider. The 60 fruit tiles, with values from 1 to 5 points (purple ones are worth 5!), are randomly distributed across the board, leaving the center empty. To start, each player chooses a white fruit (value 1) and places their sugar glider on it, which becomes their initial 'jumping tile'. Each turn, you have two options: either make your sugar glider jump, or enter a brief state of torpor. To jump, you move your sugar glider in a straight line a number of spaces equal to the value of your 'jumping tile'. If you don't have one, you use one from your reserve. After jumping, the used tile goes to your reserve, and the tile where you landed becomes your new 'jumping tile'. But be careful, you can't jump off the tree or through another sugar glider! If you're in the center, you can jump anywhere using any tile from your reserve. The torpor option allows you to take the jumping tile from under your sugar glider and add it to your reserve, without moving. The game ends when all sugar gliders consecutively enter a state of torpor, or when the fruits run out on the tree. Whoever has the highest sum of points from the fruits in their reserve wins! It's a quick game, perfect for a relaxed session with friends. ## FAQ ### How many players does Sugar Gliders support and what's the average game duration? The game is for 2 to 4 players, and games are quite quick, lasting about 30 minutes. It's perfect for fitting between other activities or for multiple rounds! ### What's the complexity level of Sugar Gliders? It has a BGG weight of 1.9375/5, placing it in the light to medium game category. The rules are easy to learn, but the strategy for collecting the most fruits can be quite engaging. ### What are the main components of the game? You'll find a board representing a tree with 61 cells, 4 colored sugar gliders, and 60 fruit tiles of different values. All of this usually comes in a compact zippered pouch, making it easy to carry. ### How does sugar glider movement work on the board? Your sugar glider moves in a straight line a number of spaces equal to the value of the 'jumping tile' you use. The tile you land on becomes your new 'jumping tile', creating a cycle of strategic collection and movement. ### What happens if I don't have a 'jumping tile' under my sugar glider? In that case, you must use one of the fruit tiles you've already collected and stored in your 'reserve'. The used tile is discarded from the game, so it's wise to plan ahead to avoid running out of options! ### Is Sugar Gliders a good game for newcomers to the hobby? Absolutely! Its simple rules, quick games, and friendly theme make it an excellent gateway to the world of board games, especially for those who enjoy strategy games without too much complexity. ### Is there a variant for fewer players? Yes, for shorter 2-player games, you can remove all purple fruit tiles and 3 tiles of each other value, playing only on the inner board. ## Price Comparison ### Best Offers in Brazil - **Rejoga**: R$ 79,00 (/partner/go.php?p=rejoga&g=4815&u=https%3A%2F%2Frejoga.com.br%2Fanuncio%2F7d42ff05-b2ac-44a4-a8ea-3c4a5086232a%3Forigem%3Dboardgamesbot) - **Amazon**: R$ 93,74 (https://www.amazon.com.br/dp/B0C7WKTT6S?tag=bgbot26-20) - **Meca dos Jogos**: R$ 81,90 (https://www.mecadosjogos.com.br/sugar-gliders-p476?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - **Caixinha Boardgames**: R$ 82,77 (https://www.caixinhaboardgames.com.br/produtos/sugar-gliders/?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - **Leão Livros**: R$ 83,60 (https://www.leaolivros.com.br/sugar-gliders?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - **Animus Ludere**: R$ 85,40 (https://www.animusludere.com.br/sugar-gliders?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - **Alquimistas dos Jogos**: R$ 89,81 (https://www.alquimistasdosjogos.com.br/jogos/sugar-gliders?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - See all on Compara Jogos: https://www.comparajogos.com.br/item/sugar-gliders ### Best International Offers - **BoardGamePrices.com**: $ 19.50 (https://boardgameprices.com/item/go?source=A&storeitemid=4782678&utm_source=boardgamesbot.com) - See all on BoardGamePrices: https://boardgameprices.com/item/show/15835/sugar-gliders?utm_source=boardgamesbot.com
