In The Jetsons, you take control of one of the most futuristic families on TV — whether it's the clumsy George, the organized Jane, the rebellious Judy, the genius Elroy, or the efficient Rosie. Your goal is to explore the towering spires of the city of tomorrow to collect items and experiences that match your Demand Cards. But wait, you can't just wander aimlessly! The game is split into three episodes (rounds). The dynamic is quite clever: turn order is determined by your position on the location track. On your turn, you decide how many steps to take. Here is the twist: the distance you travel becomes your 'currency' to acquire cards at your destination. In other words, the further you go, the more resources you have to buy cool stuff. However, there's a huge risk: once you pass a location, it's gone for good — there is no turning back! To spice things up, the game includes the Astro Mini-Expansion. The family dog enters the fray with single-use tokens per episode, granting special powers that can completely shift your strategy. If you enjoy light games with a heavy dose of nostalgia and a bit of a 'push your luck' vibe, this is the perfect choice. It's fast, intuitive, and ideal for introducing the hobby to your family or just relaxing with a super charismatic theme. ## How to Play Game Objective In the game The Jetsons, each player takes on the role of a member of the Jetsons family in a race through Orbit City over 3 Episodes (rounds). The goal is to collect Purchase Cards and fulfill the requests on Interest Cards to accumulate points. The player with the highest score at the end of the third Episode wins. Setup Separately shuffle the 3 decks of Purchase Cards (identifiable by their different backs) and place them on the table. Each player chooses a Character, takes their figure and Character Card (standard side face up). Unchosen cards are flipped to the automatic side. Shuffle the initial Interest Cards (with gold stars) and deal 1 to each player. Shuffle the remaining cards with the other Interest Cards to form a deck. Select 3 Episode Cards and place them face down in sequence. Shuffle the 6 common Location Cards and form a random path, adding 1 Home Card at each end. Place all figures on the leftmost Home Card in random order. Begin the first Episode. Game Flow Each Episode follows these steps: Reveal the Episode Card and apply its effects (valid only for that round). Reveal 6 Interest Cards, placing 1 under each common Location Card. In the 1st Episode, characters move left to right; in the 2nd, right to left; in the 3rd, they return to the right. Turns are determined by position on the path: the player furthest back goes first. Characters on automatic mode move as indicated on their cards. Actions and How to Play On your turn, choose an action: Move Along the Path: Move to an empty space ahead. Add the steps taken + space bonuses to earn credits. Reveal Purchase Cards from the location you land on and buy up to your credit limit. Go Home: Jump to an empty space on the Home Card and choose a revealed Interest Card. You no longer play in that Episode. Automatic characters move on their own, ignoring occupied spaces, and discard the nearest Interest Card when they reach Home. End of Game and Scoring The game ends after the 3rd Episode. Calculate points as follows: Sum the numbers on the stars of your Purchase Cards. For each Interest Card, earn points for each matching set of icons on your Purchase Cards ("?" icons count for any icon in the deck). The player with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the tiebreaker is: (1) most Interest Cards, (2) most icons on Purchase Cards, (3) youngest player. Tips to Win Plan your moves: Moving farther earns more credits but may delay your next turn. Decide whether to go far or prioritize locations with bonuses. Focus on Interest Cards: They give multiplier points. Prioritize collecting Purchase Cards that match the icons they require.
