It adds 36 event cards that introduce new twists to the story, five brand‑new roles for the villagers—the Idiot, the Elder, the Piper, the Scapegoat, and the Savior—and nine new game variations that range from playing in the dark with a candle in front of each player’s face to a “contamination” mechanic where werewolves leave civilians without rights or powers instead of simply eating them. These variations keep the game fresh and surprising, allowing groups to experiment with different play styles and levels of tension. The expansion also includes rules that let you create even more variants, such as adapting the game for different languages or tweaking the difficulty. Overall, New Moon expands the base game’s replayability, adds more characters, and increases the complexity and fun, but it does require translated cards or a translation spreadsheet for those who want to play in Portuguese. It’s an ideal expansion for groups already comfortable with the core game who want to explore new bluffing, deduction, and role‑playing possibilities. If you enjoy party games with plenty of interaction and suspense, New Moon will definitely elevate the experience to a whole new level. Additionally, the new roles introduce unique mechanics that demand attention and strategy. For instance, the Idiot can act as a “red herring” to distract from the real werewolves, while the Scapegoat can be sacrificed to save other villagers, creating moral dilemmas that spark heated debate. The Piper can “play” event cards, altering the flow of the game in unpredictable ways, and the Savior can revive eliminated players, adding a hopeful element that challenges the game’s traditional logic. These additions make every New Moon session a unique experience, as the interaction between roles and event cards creates combinations that never repeat. For those who love to test strategies and improvise, the expansion offers an almost infinite playground. ## FAQ ### How many players can play? 8 to 18 players. ### How long does a game last?
