If you're already a fan of building railways, this map collection brings two very different experiences to your table. First, we have the Iberian Peninsula, where the vibe is all about celebration! Beyond connecting cities, you'll deal with festival cards that pop up across the map. If you manage to link your route to these festivities, you collect the cards and score extra points at the end. The catch is that space is tight: you only have 35 trains to complete eight destinations, so every single placement must be strategic. The destination drafting at the start of the game immediately puts everyone in planning mode.

Then there's South Korea, where the gameplay shifts. Here, routes are grouped by colors across different regions of the country. When you claim a route, you can mark your presence on a province mat by placing trains in spaces matching the color and number of cards played. Want to climb the province rankings? You can overspend cards to secure a higher number. To speed things up, you have 'Express Train' cards (+1, +2, +3), which act as bonuses to draw more train cards, grab new destination tickets, or boost your province mat standing. ## How to Play
Game Objective
In Ticket to Ride: Volume 8 - Iberia & South Korea, players take on the role of travelers planning routes to connect cities and participate in festivals on the Iberian Peninsula. The goal is to score as many points as possible by controlling routes, completing destination tickets, and collecting festival cards. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Setup
To set up the game, follow the steps below:

  Shuffle the 110 Train Cards and deal 4 to each player. Form the usual 5 open cards. If there are 3 Locomotive cards among the open cards, discard them and replace them.
  Separate the Ticket Selection Card and shuffle the 54 Festival Cards into the Train Card deck to create a large face-down deck.
  Insert the Ticket Selection Card face down into the deck, positioning it according to the number of players: in the middle for 2 players, in the lower third for 3 players, and in the lower quarter for 4 or 5 players.
  Distribute the Destination Tickets in a special way: shuffle them and deal 6 to each player. Each player chooses one card and passes the remaining 5 to the left. Repeat the process until each player has chosen 6 cards. Then, each player must keep exactly 4 cards, discarding the other 2.


Game Flow
The game is played in turns, where each player performs one of the three available actions:

  Draw Train Cards: The player can draw cards from the deck or the open cards.
  Claim a Route: The player can use cards to claim a route on the board.
  Draw Destination Tickets: This action is only available after the second round of Destination Ticket selection.

The game continues until a player has 2 or fewer trains left, triggering the end of the game.

Actions and How to Play
Draw Train Cards
When a Festival Card is drawn, it is revealed and placed next to the board, near the indicated city. Festival Cards do not count as Train Cards, so the player must continue drawing until they get a Train Card. If the Ticket Selection Card is drawn, the game is paused for a second round of Destination Ticket selection.

Claim a Route
To claim a route, the player must play cards of the appropriate color. If the route includes a Festival City, the player can take all available Festival Cards for that city. If the route connects two Festival Cities, the player must choose from which city to take the cards.

Draw Destination Tickets
After the second round of Destination Ticket selection, players can draw Destination Tickets. The player draws 3 cards and must keep at least one, with the option to keep up to three.

End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when a player has 2 or fewer trains left. Scoring is calculated as follows:

  Points for claimed routes.
  Points for completed Destination Tickets.
  Additional points for collected Festival Cards, as per the table on the cards.

The player with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the winner is the player who completed the most Destination Tickets. If there is still a tie, the players share the victory.
