Ready to test your knowledge of Brazilian history in a super fun way? In Timeline: Brazil, the mission is simple: place cards of Brazilian historical events in the correct chronological order. Think about it: did the First Constitution come before or after the minimum wage? Was Christ the Redeemer already there to see the Modern Art Week? Each card has an event on one side and the date on the other. You play a card on the table, trying to fit it between others already placed, and only then reveal the date to see if you got it right. If you're wrong, the card goes to the discard pile, and you keep trying. Whoever gets rid of all their cards first wins! It's the kind of game that makes you think 'wow, I knew that!' or 'man, I had no idea!'. Perfect for gathering friends, having a good laugh, and learning a ton about our country. And the best part: if you already enjoy other games in the Timeline series, you can even mix the cards to make the challenge even greater! It's fast, easy to learn, and sparks great discussions. Let's build this timeline! ## How to Play Game Objective In Timeline: Brasil, the objective is to be the only player left with no cards in hand. To achieve this, players must correctly place their cards on a historical timeline, based on events and dates from Brazil. Setup Players sit around the play area. The youngest player goes first. Shuffle all the cards. Each player receives 4 cards, face down (with the dates hidden), and places them in front of them. Players cannot look at the side of the card that shows the date. Place the draw pile face down on the table. Draw the top card from the draw pile, turn it face up, and place it in the center of the play area. This will be the starting card of the timeline. Begin the game! Gameplay Flow The game proceeds in turns, moving clockwise. On each turn, the active player attempts to place one of their cards on the timeline. Actions and How to Play On their turn, the player must try to place one of their cards in the correct "spot on the timeline". Card Placement: If the player believes their card's date is earlier than the date of the closest card on the timeline, they must place it to the left. If the player believes their card's date is later than the date of the closest card on the timeline, they must place it to the right. If the timeline already has more than one card, the player can choose from the available spaces (to the left of the first card, to the right of the last card, or between any two cards already placed). Placement Verification: After placing the card, the player turns it over to check if the date was positioned correctly. If the card was placed correctly, it remains face up on the timeline. If the card was not placed correctly, it is discarded. Drawing a New Card: If the card was placed correctly, the player draws the top card from the draw pile and places it, face down, next to the other cards they already possess, without looking at the date side. If the card was not placed correctly, the player also draws a new card. Empty Draw Pile: If the draw pile is empty, shuffle the discarded cards to form a new draw pile (with the dates facing down). Special Rule for Equal Dates: During the game, if a player needs to place a card with the same date as another card already played, both cards should be placed side-by-side, regardless of order. End of Game and Scoring The game ends when a player successfully places their last card on the timeline in a single round. Immediate Victory: If a player is the only one to correctly place their card during a single round, they are immediately declared the winner. Multiplayer Victory: If multiple players correctly place their last card in a single round, they continue playing while the other players are eliminated. The remaining players draw one card each round and play according to the basic rules until one of them correctly places their card in a single round. The last remaining player to correctly place their card is declared the winner. Tips for Winning Try to position your cards based on your knowledge of historical events. If you misplace a card, it is discarded, and you draw a new one. Plan your moves to minimize errors. ## FAQ ### How many people can play Timeline: Brazil?
