World War 2 in Europe is a strategic‑level board game that brings the European theater of WWII to life. Players assume the roles of the three major powers—Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union—making political choices and directing armies, air forces, and navies across a hexagonal map that covers the continent. The game focuses on force projection, logistics, and the timing of diplomatic moves, so you’re constantly balancing front‑line pressure with political opportunities. Its core mechanics are intentionally simple: a single combat resolution table handles all ground, air, and naval conflicts, and movement is measured in points that you spend to travel a set number of hexes per month. Dice rolls determine combat outcomes, but the real “art” lies in deciding where to allocate your limited movement points and when to call in airdrops, jets, or partisans. The designers kept the counter density low—only a few hundred pieces on the board—so you can keep the strategic picture in focus without getting lost in a maze of subsystems. The game offers a huge variety of scenarios, from short tactical campaigns that finish in a few hours to full‑scale war games that can last up to 50 hours. Each country’s historical army order of battle, economic strength, and will to fight are represented in a simple, modular way, and events such as ULTRA, radar, and railroad artillery are woven into the core system. Whether you’re a history buff who loves the ebb and flow of WWII or a board‑game enthusiast looking for a deep but manageable war game, Unconditional Surrender! delivers a richly detailed, strategic experience that rewards careful planning and bold decisions. ## FAQ ### How long does a game last?
