## Description
Xingu transports players to the late 19th century, when Marshal Cândido Rondon sets out to build telegraph lines between Mato Grosso and Goiás. Along the way he encounters previously unknown indigenous tribes living in the dense Amazon rainforest. At the same time, unscrupulous farmers arrive, seeking slave labor and bringing deadly diseases. Each participant takes on the role of a tribal leader, needing to balance resource gathering, sacred rituals, defense against invaders, and territorial expansion. The game uses hand management: each round you choose one of five role cards (Shaman, Chief, Warrior, Hunter or Matriarch) that determines what action your people can take. The cards generate resources, allow you to place workers on strategic spots of the hexagonal board, and complete set collections that award cultural victory points.
