1. Objective of the Game
Compete in the annual Cube Cup as runners race to the finish line! The goal is to strategically use ability dice and navigate the racetrack to outmaneuver opponents. The game ends when a player crosses the finish line, triggering final scoring.
2. Setup
- Add starting dice and ability dice to their corresponding boxes (12 ability dice per color).
- Prepare the double-sided racetrack (choose from suggested setups like Island Hopper or Pits and Perils).
- Each player selects a runner figure and places it at the start space.
- Shuffle and deal ability cards according to the chosen setup (e.g., Cult of the New or Flying High).

3. Game Flow
- Roll Phase: Players roll their dice simultaneously.
- Run Phase: In turn order, players use dice abilities to move their runners. Key steps:
- Move Step: Spend dice to move. Pink dice may require losing 1 heart to activate.
- Resolve pitfalls or other track effects if landed on.
- Cleanup Phase: Return used dice and prepare for the next round.
4. Actions and How to Play
Key Mechanics:
- Pink Dice: Using their symbol costs 1 heart (before moving). Cannot reduce movement below zero.
- Pitfalls: Landing in one forces you to gain 1 gray die (light or dark) to your discard zone.
- Ability Cards: Each has unique effects (e.g., Intoxicated Cheese counts yellow dice as unique colors).
Example Abilities:
- Water Lover: Gain 2 hearts if moving into a water space.
- Decision Pigeon: Must stay on the same side of a red line when moving adjacent to it.
5. End Game and Scoring
The game ends immediately when a player crosses the finish line. Players compare positions on the track to determine the winner. Ties are broken by remaining hearts.

6. Tips to Win
- Combo pink dice with cards like PiNOWple to maximize movement while managing heart loss.
- Use pitfalls strategically to disrupt opponents by forcing gray dice into their discard zones.
- In setups like Flying High, prioritize dice that reward high-risk plays (e.g., "lose to win" combos).
