By accessing or using BoardGameBot (“Service”) at www.boardgamesbot.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

BoardGameBot provides tools to extract text from images (OCR) and read text aloud, including modes that may use third-party APIs (e.g., Google). Features and availability are subject to change without notice.

2. Eligibility and Account

You represent that you have legal capacity to enter into agreements. If Google Login is provided, Google's terms apply alongside these Terms. You are responsible for account confidentiality and all activities under your credentials.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • violate any laws or third-party rights;
  • upload illicit, offensive content, malware, or content that violates intellectual property;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or other users' data;
  • perform abusive reverse engineering, excessive automated scraping, or overload the Service;
  • use the Service for health, safety, or legal decisions without adequate human review.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit such content solely to operate and improve the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The software, design, trademarks, and other elements of the Service are ours or our licensors'. No license is granted beyond the personal and non-commercial use of the Service as expressly permitted.

6. Third-Party Services and APIs

The Service may integrate Google and other providers. Your use is subject to those third parties' terms and policies. API costs or quotas are your responsibility where applicable.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee specific OCR or voice results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or lost profits. Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the last 12 months or 50 EUR, whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify the operator of BoardGameBot (contact: contato@boardgamesbot.com) against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for legal or operational reasons. You can stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil apply. For consumer relations, São Paulo courts shall have central jurisdiction, subject to mandatory local consumer law protections where applicable.
