How to Play Ankh: Gods of Egypt – Guardians Set

Game Objective

In Ankh: Gods of Egypt - Guardians Set, players take on the roles of Egyptian gods seeking to consolidate their power and influence during a divine war. The goal is to strategically use Guardians to strengthen your position, protect followers, and dominate regions of the board. Victory depends on the ability to leverage each Guardian's unique abilities to gain advantages over opponents.

Actions and How to Play

The Guardians possess special abilities that can be activated during the game. Each one offers distinct tactical advantages:

Mafdet

When revealing a Flood Battle Card, if Mafdet is in an affected region, you gain double the followers you would normally receive. With 2 Mafdets in the region, the bonus is quadruple.

Ammit

• Can occupy Water spaces and be summoned there, as long as normal summoning rules are followed.
• If ending movement on a Water space, can kill 1 adjacent enemy miniature.
• Note: Water spaces count as part of adjacent regions and are considered connected to all surrounding spaces.

Am-Heh

After moving Am-Heh, you may move each adjacent enemy miniature up to 1 space (except to occupied or Water spaces, unless the enemy figure can occupy them).

Pazuzu

While adjacent to 2 or more Monuments (regardless of control), Pazuzu gains +2 strength.

Shezmu

• Prevents enemy Guardians from entering your region (including Water spaces).
• Enemy Guardians already in the region lose strength and abilities while Shezmu is present.
• Abilities triggered at the end of movement still work if the enemy Guardian leaves Shezmu's region.

Tips for Winning

1. Use Mafdet in strategic regions to maximize follower gains during Flood Battles.
2. Position Ammit on Water spaces to eliminate adjacent enemy miniatures and control key areas.
3. Leverage Shezmu to block entire regions, neutralizing enemy Guardians and limiting their movements.
