About the game
Blabel drops everyone into a linguistic cooperation challenge: each player gets a three‑card dictionary that teaches them how to say the ten core words of the game – four materials, four building pieces, plus "yes" and "no" – in a completely made‑up language. Every round, the foreman tries to describe, using only these invented tongues, what the team must construct. Success hinges on spotting similarities between the languages and memorising each other's vocabularies, because limited speech can turn a simple instruction into a real brain‑teaser. As the tower rises, natural forces – earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and fires – threaten to topple it, forcing the group to build something sturdy. The game lasts 20‑35 minutes, supports 3‑9 players and carries a light weight of 1.5/5, making it perfect for quick, uncomplicated fun. Components consist mainly of dictionary cards and building pieces, all nicely illustrated and easy to handle. Blabel blends deduction, memory and cooperation, demanding sharp observation and a healthy dose of patience to decode the overlapping words of the fictional languages. If the group aligns the translations in time, the tower stands triumphantly; otherwise nature brings chaos. It’s a laid‑back experience that tests non‑verbal communication and recall, ideal for parties, family gatherings or fast game sessions with friends.
