Cirque brings the circus’s wonder straight to the table, letting each player take on the role of a circus director vying for talent, reputation, and the ultimate show. The goal is to build the most spectacular circus by hiring performers, constructing stages, and earning fame. Each player has a personal board to craft their own arena, while action tiles create interaction and friendly competition. The game blends tableau building and engine building, featuring two distinct venues: the Big Top and the Sideshow. Every performer has venue‑specific abilities, forcing you to plan the order of acts for maximum effect. Additionally, each artist requires a reputation threshold, so hiring is about long‑term strategy as well as point gain. The game ends when a player fully completes their circus, but the winner is the one who creates the most wondrous show, tallying performer value, achievements, performance resources, and global renown. With 180 unique performer cards, randomized individual and shared goals, Cirque offers massive replayability and fun for 1‑4 players, with playtime ranging from 30 to 120 minutes. It’s approachable for beginners yet deep enough for seasoned strategists, thanks to clear rules and a rich mix of mechanics that keep the game fresh and exciting.
