About the game
Get ready for a thrilling adventure in the world of Corto Maltese, the iconic character created by Hugo Pratt! In Corto, you and your friends (or rivals!) will choose from six exciting quests and set up a modular board with four of them. Each quest is an invitation to relive classic stories, like attacking a Russian gold train or uncovering the mysteries of the leopard men, each with its own deck of characters and items.

The game masterfully blends tactics and luck in an engaging way. You'll play cards to position characters on the board, vying for influence and trying to thwart opponents' plans with the help (or hindrance!) of Corto and Rasputin. Placing characters correctly can earn you gold and even remove opponents from the game! Furthermore, characters and items can have strategic effects that impact entire columns or rows, adding an extra layer of depth.

Each quest holds a unique treasure waiting for the cleverest player. Be the first to grab the whalebone aces, secure a valuable train car, or control important markers to dominate the area. The game ends when two quests are completed or the card deck runs out. In the end, whoever has amassed the most gold, counting collected treasure and control of character groups, claims victory. It's a fast-paced game with accessible rules, but it demands planning and a bit of daring to come out on top.
