About the game

What you do in a play session

Hey there, gamers! If you're already into the vibe of Cry Havoc, get ready for another dose of strategy and conflict with the 'New Orders' mini-expansion. This little gem adds an extra spice to the base game, introducing new ways to score points and, consequently, opening up a wider range of tactics for you and your friends to explore. The idea is simple: you'll add new Objective cards to the Tactics decks of each Terrain. When a player draws one of these cards, it's revealed face-up, visible to everyone, and becomes relevant during the final scoring. Whoever meets the requirements earns victory points, and if more than one player succeeds, everyone gets the glory. It's an expansion designed for those who want more options and twists in their intergalactic battles. It was distributed as a bonus with pre-orders at Spiel '16, bringing 8 objective cards, two for each terrain type. Get ready to plan your moves even further and surprise your opponents with new strategies!

No, it focuses on adding new scoring conditions, which expands strategies without overly complicating the basic rules. It's a subtle but impactful addition.
Do I need to translate anything to play?
Yes, the objective cards have text and need to be translated so everyone understands the scoring conditions. It's a relatively small translation, but necessary.
How many players does this expansion support?
It maintains support for 2 to 4 players, just like the base game. The new objective cards work well across all player counts.

Is it worth it for someone who plays Cry Havoc occasionally?
If you enjoy having more tactical options and a bit more variety each game, then yes. If you play very rarely, you might not feel the impact as much.
How are the Objective cards integrated into the game?
They are added to the Tactics decks for each Terrain type. When drawn, they are revealed and influence the final scoring.
