Cyclades: Hades arrives as the fourth expansion to the celebrated Cyclades, offering four modules that can be played separately or combined, broadening the experience of island domination in ancient Greece. In the base game, each player commands a city‑state battling for influence across the islands, making offerings to gods and summoning mythic creatures for advantage. Hades introduces the lord of the underworld himself, allowing those who earn his favor to build a Necropolis and raise undead armies. Alongside the new deity, the expansion adds exclusive auction cards, new dice, skeletal miniatures, and Area Majority/Influence rules that reinforce territorial control. The four modules – Necropolis, New Auction, Special Dice, and Miniatures – can be inserted individually, letting groups pick only what they like, or all together for a more epic session. Existing mechanics—auction, dice rolling, variable powers—remain but gain fresh strategic layers: offering to Hades lets a player trade resources for units that don’t die in regular combat, opening new win routes. Playtime ranges from 60 to 90 minutes, perfect for those familiar with the base who want more variety without overly lengthening the game. The art retains the series’ classic style, while the undead miniatures add a striking visual touch. In short, Hades expands Cyclades’ universe with deeper tactics, new building options, and the ominous presence of the underworld, all while preserving the fluidity that made the original so beloved.
