About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for more (the good kind of!) suffering with the Darkroot expansion for Dark Souls: The Board Game. This addition takes you to the Darkroot region, a place that, despite its lushness, is full of dangers, where even the plants and scarecrows want to see you on the ground. It's here that the legendary Artorias and his loyal companion, the Great Grey Wolf Sif, await the bravest (or most insane!) adventurers.
This expansion is not a standalone game, so you'll need the base game to dive in. But if you're already a fan, Darkroot brings a ton of new content to refresh your adventures. Expect to encounter new enemies that will test your combat strategies, brand new encounter cards utilizing these new dangers, and, of course, a bunch of fresh treasure cards for your characters to discover. Additionally, the cherry on top are the components for two new main boss encounters, promising even more epic challenges and expanded strategic options for players. If you thought you had already mastered Lordran, think again! Darkroot is here to prove you wrong and pull you back for more rounds of tactical combat and relentless exploration.
