About the game

What you do in a play session

Dragons of Etchinstone: Siege takes the battle to the heart of Etchinstone Tower, where players, as Ether Mages, face a siege by dragons and monsters vying for control of The Tear. The expansion builds on the original’s minimalistic deck‑building system, giving players a larger hand and the ability to create up to two Action Sets each turn. This opens up more complex combinations and deeper strategic choices while preserving the flow that made the base game so addictive. New Structure Cards add unique abilities that can block attacks, recover resources, or shift the game’s dynamics, making each match a distinct experience. Hand management remains at the core of the challenge: you must decide quickly which cards to play, which to discard, and how to balance your resource pool. That balance of risk and reward makes every decision tense. The game stays a solo/solitaire experience, but the expansion offers a variant called Return to Etchinstone, letting players take on the monsters’ role and try to seize the Tower. This team‑play option adds even more variety and replayability. In short, Siege is an extension that raises the strategic depth of the original while keeping the simplicity and speed fans expect. If you enjoyed Dragons of Etchinstone, this expansion is the perfect way to test your hand‑management skills and plan more elaborate attacks against the dragons.
