1. Objective of the Game
In Eleven: Stadium, you are the manager of a football club that is growing in popularity. Your goal is to build a unique Stadium that satisfies an ever‑increasing fan base while keeping your club financially stable. The game ends when the End‑Game Trigger is reached (see section 5). At that point, you score points for each Unique Stadium Infrastructure token you have built, for each Objective card you have completed, and for any other scoring criteria listed in the manual. The player with the highest total score wins. If a player has lost all matches during the game, they are automatically eliminated.
2. Preparation (Setup)
- Shuffle the Board Meeting deck, the Objective deck, the Board Meeting deck, and the New Sponsor deck separately. Do not mix these decks together.
- Place the Staff cards from the Pink set in a facedown deck near the Board Meeting deck. Do not shuffle this deck with any other.
- Separate the Unique Stadium Infrastructure tokens into two groups:
- All tokens with the special icon ⚙️ go into a stack near the Board Meeting deck.
- From the remaining tokens, draw twice as many as there are players and add them to the general supply. The rest are set aside.
- Prepare all other components as described in the base game’s setup instructions.
- Each player receives a Club board, a set of Sponsor cards, and any other starting items specified in the base game.
3. Flow of the Game
The game proceeds in a series of Rounds. Each round consists of the following phases in order:
- Board Meeting Phase – Players draw and resolve a Board Meeting card. Some of these cards allow hiring Staff from the Pink set, building Stadium Infrastructure, or other actions.
- Match Phase – A league match occurs. Players may score goals or suffer losses according to the card effects.
- Maintenance Phase – Players pay the required maintenance cost for their Stadium Infrastructure. Certain Staff cards may modify this cost.
- Production Phase – On Mondays, players may train Youngsters or perform other production actions as dictated by the cards.
- End‑Round Check – If the End‑Game Trigger is met (see section 5), the game ends immediately after this round.
There is no separate enemy or environment turn; all actions are resolved within the player’s turn or the global phases listed above.
4. Actions and How to Play
Hiring Staff (Pink Set)
When a Board Meeting card instructs you to Hire a Staff card from the Pink set, search the facedown Pink deck for the indicated card and place it below your Club board. Adjust the Maintenance track accordingly.
Building Stadium Infrastructure
Some Board Meeting or Sponsor cards allow you to build a Stadium Infrastructure token marked with the special icon ⚙️. You may build these even if they were set aside during setup. For all other Infrastructure tokens, pay the standard cost of 3 Maintenance tokens to build them from the Transfer Area.
Using Staff Abilities
Each Staff card has a unique ability. For example:
- Groundskeeper (ST002): Before the league Match in rounds 2, 4, and 6, you may score a goal.
- Merchandise Seller (ST010): You may spend both Marketing and Maintenance tokens for Maintenance.
- Other Staff cards provide bonuses such as immediate resolution of a Foundation Manager action or gaining additional tokens.
Resolving Sponsor Cards
When you discard a Sponsor card from your Stadium board, you may place the corresponding Board Meeting card on the free space and gain its bonus. Some Sponsor cards also allow you to build Infrastructure tokens or hire Staff.
Other Actions
Consult the manual for any additional actions such as rerolling tokens, contracting new Sponsors, or handling conflicts between Sponsors.
5. End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when the End‑Game Trigger is activated (the manual specifies the exact condition; consult it for details). At that point:
- Count points for each Unique Stadium Infrastructure token you have built. Each token has a VP value printed on it.
- Count points for each Objective card you have completed. Objective cards have their own VP values.
- Apply any additional scoring criteria listed in the manual, such as points for medical centers, family‑friendly stands, or other facilities.
- Subtract points for any matches lost during the game (see the “Unbeatable” objective for the penalty).
- The player with the highest total score wins. If a player has lost all matches, they are automatically eliminated.
For any scoring rule that is not explicitly described in the provided context, consult the manual for details.
6. Tips for Winning
- Prioritize hiring Staff cards that provide immediate benefits, such as the Foundation Manager or Marketing Manager, to gain extra tokens or resolve actions quickly.
- Build Unique Stadium Infrastructure tokens marked with the special icon ⚙️ as soon as you are instructed to do so; they are one‑of‑a‑kind and can give you a scoring advantage.
- Use Sponsor cards that allow you to build Infrastructure or hire Staff to accelerate your development and reduce maintenance costs.
