Step by step
Game Objective
The objective of I Spy! Stitch is to be the player who accumulates the most Character Cards by the end of the game. Players compete to quickly find identical images between the Board Cards and the revealed Character Cards.
Setup
- Shuffle all the Board Cards and arrange them on the table in a grid with 4 columns and 3 rows, ensuring each card has at least one side touching another.
- Shuffle all the Character Cards and form a face-down deck, placed next to the grid of Board Cards.
Game Flow
The game is played in rounds until the Character Cards deck is exhausted. Each round follows this structure:
- The first player (whoever watched a movie most recently) flips a Character Card and says the name of the revealed character.
- All players simultaneously search for the identical image on the Board Cards. The first to find it places their finger on it and shouts "I SPY!".
- If the player is wrong, they are out of the round until someone gets it right.
- If everyone is wrong, the Character Card is placed at the bottom of the deck and a new one is revealed.
- The player who gets it right keeps the Character Card and the round ends.
If a Villain Card (red background) appears, the Board Cards are randomly rearranged, the Villain Card is discarded, and a new Character Card is revealed.
Actions and How to Play
- Flip Character Card: The current player reveals a card and announces the character's name.
- Search for Image: Everyone looks for the identical image on the Board Cards.
- Shout "I SPY!": The first to find the correct image shouts and touches the card to claim it.

End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when the Character Cards deck is depleted. The player with the most cards wins. In case of a tie, an extra round can be played to break the tie.
Tips to Win
- Be mindful of Villain Cards, as they rearrange the board and can disrupt your strategy.
- Practice your visual recognition speed to be the first to shout "I SPY!".
