Extreme Tricks turns the classic trick‑taking game on its head by having players bet on the number of conditions they can meet rather than simply how many tricks they'll win. The game unfolds over four rounds, each split into three phases of four tricks, for a total of 12 tricks per hand. At the start of each round, six condition cards are dealt that refer to the cards you play, and another six cards describe the tricks you capture. These condition cards change every hand, keeping the game fresh.
Before any tricks are played, players place a bid: how many of the available conditions they expect to fulfill. Then each player puts half of the chips they used in the bid onto the specific conditions they plan to achieve. After that comes the classic trick‑taking portion, with a randomly chosen trump suit and the requirement to follow suit. Strategy shifts from simply playing the highest card to wisely allocating chips to maximize points.
Scoring blends the number of conditions met with the success of the tricks, providing a challenge that mixes card prediction, probability calculation, and chip management. Even with simple rules, the balance between risk and reward makes every hand tense. Ideal for groups who enjoy card games with a deeper strategic twist, Extreme Tricks is accessible to beginners yet offers layers of depth for seasoned trick‑taking fans.
