In Fafnir, the most valuable chicken around, lays two precious little gems each day. The goal? To acquire these gems, of course! But things work differently here: whoever discards the most gems in a round gets the two new ones. There's just one catch: you can't discard gems of the same color that just came out of Fafnir's nest. After all, who wants to see the chicken upset with you for rejecting the very jewels you're eyeing?
When a certain number of gems are discarded, the round ends, and the scoring begins. Gold is worth a steady 1 point, always a safe bet. The other five gem colors, however, enter a dynamic scoring system: the most frequent color is worth 3 points, the second most frequent is worth 2, and all others... well, those will cost you 1 negative point each. It's a dance of bets and bluffs, where you need to predict what others will discard and which colors will be in vogue (or out of favor!).
Fafnir is a fast-paced game with simple rules that hide a surprising tactical layer. You'll need to think quickly, observe the accumulated discards, and your opponents' hands to maximize your points. Is it worth the risk for the higher-value gems, or is it better to secure the gold? The decision is yours, and the tension builds with each round. Prepare for an experience that will make you exclaim "Ah!" in surprise or lament an unfortunate play. It's the kind of game that makes you want to play again as soon as it's over!
