About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey board game enthusiasts! Ready for another trip to Flamecraft? The "Dragons & Dragons" expansion (or "Flamecraft: Dragons & Dragons") brings a ton of new stuff to spice up your magical city. If you love the base game, expect more dragons, more shops, and more ways to enchant the townsfolk.
This beauty adds 15 new dragons called Hydragons, who come with special abilities to supercharge your artisan deck. On top of that, there are 6 new companion dragons and 7 adventurer dragons for you to recruit, each with their own way of helping build the city. And for a special touch, there are 18 "Upscale Cards" that change how you use the enchant mechanic, allowing you to gift goods and coins for even more magical rewards. Oh, and let's not forget the new "Double Dragons" shop, a charming spot where dragons duel, adding another strategic option to the board.
For those who like to change up the setup, the expansion includes a "Parks & Crafts" neoprene mat that offers a new way to play, with the ability to use the 'fire up' ability once per turn. This expansion keeps the mechanics we love, like Worker Placement, Hand Management, and Set Collection, but with an added layer of complexity and options. It's perfect for anyone looking to extend the lifespan of Flamecraft and explore new strategies with these new winged residents.

Yes! This is an expansion, so you need to own the base game of Flamecraft to use all the new components and rules it introduces.
How many players does this expansion support?
The expansion maintains the player count of the base game, which is 1 to 5 players. It adds more variety without changing the number of participants.
Does the expansion make the game harder or longer?
It adds more options and a bit more complexity, but the game time should remain similar to the base game. The goal is to expand, not to make the game excessively long or complicated.
What are the main new components in the box?
The expansion includes new dragons (Hydragons, Companions, and Adventurers), new enchantment cards (Upscale Cards), a new shop (Double Dragons), and a thematic neoprene mat.
Is it possible to play solo with this expansion?
Yes, the base Flamecraft already has a solo mode, and this expansion adds more elements that can be integrated into that solo experience, offering more variety.
Does this expansion add many new rules?
It introduces some new mechanics and interactions, especially with the "Upscale Cards" and the new shop, but the core gameplay (worker placement, etc.) remains the same.
