Flash 10, designed by Wolfgang Kramer, brings the core of the classic Rack‑O into a fast-paced, real‑time card game. Each game starts with a 120‑card deck: 20 storm cards and 100 numbered cards from 0 to 99, where those ending in 0 or 5 carry a lightning bolt. Players receive ten face‑down cards, laid out in a row in front of them. The twist is to reveal all ten at once, no rearranging, and then begin drawing cards from the center of the table, placing them onto the ten revealed cards. This creates stacks as the game progresses, and players aim to line up a sequence of ten cards in ascending order from left to right. When a player manages to line up the ten cards correctly, they shout “Stop!” and end the round. Scoring is straightforward: 10 points for a win, a 2‑point bonus for ending the round, 1 point for any card with a lightning bolt regardless of position, and –1 point for a storm card. Other players earn points based on how many cards are in order, starting from the leftmost stack. Afterward, the deck is reshuffled and a new round begins. The goal is to reach 50 points or more before the others. Flash 10 offers two variants: in the first, a player may end the round even with storm cards in their row; in the second, players use nine cards and must build a sequence that ascends then descends, with the fifth card serving as the turning point. The game is quick, with 20‑minute rounds, and works well for 2‑5 players, making it ideal for those who enjoy logic challenges, real‑time competition, and short but intense games. Its minimalist design and clear scoring make it accessible and fun for both newcomers and seasoned gamers.
