Galactic Sabacc is that card game that blends the adrenaline of betting with the cunning of bluffing, all set inside the Star Wars universe. You start with a 76‑card deck, divided into four suits — Coins, Flasks, Sabres, and Staves — plus a handful of face cards that add an element of unpredictability. Like poker, each player is dealt an initial hand, but the scoring resembles blackjack, where the goal is to get as close to 23 as possible without going over. Throughout a round, you can draw additional cards to improve your hand while wagering on two pots: the Hand Pot and the Sabacc Pot. When the round ends, whoever has the highest hand value within the limit wins the Hand Pot, and whoever hits exactly 23 (or –23) wins the Sabacc Pot, a so‑called Pure Sabacc. Unwon pots roll over to the next round, letting the Sabacc Pot grow into something truly impressive. The game gets even more thrilling because bets are made with play money, and if you time it right, you could walk away with a big payoff. Although there’s no official playtime listed, most groups finish in about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of players and the pace of card drawing. The Push Your Luck mechanic encourages you to risk more cards or bets when you feel you can win, but it can also lead to quick losses. For Star Wars fans, the space‑faring atmosphere and bluffing strategy combine perfectly. If you enjoy games that demand quick thinking and a healthy dose of luck, Galactic Sabacc could be the right pick for your game nights.
