In GrandBois, the forest is heating up... metaphorically speaking! Each player leads a clan vying for control of this enchanted woodland. The goal is to have the greatest presence and the most strategic lookout tower. To begin, each player secretly chooses a clan, adding a touch of mystery. Then, it's time to pick a forest tile, which depicts four squares with your clan members (1-4), a patch of pure forest, or even a hungry bear – watch out, it beats everyone! These tiles are added to the board, covering parts of existing tiles, but with a rule: you can only cover if your tile has more members or the dreaded bear. To complete your turn, you can place your lookout tower on an empty space of the tile you just placed. Points are scored for clan members on adjacent tiles, but be warned: the sooner you place your tower, the sooner your opponents will figure out which clan is yours! It's a quick game, with a hint of bluffing and a lot of spatial competition.
