About the game
The Great Wall is a two-player abstract strategy game that simulates a tactical duel between armies atop the Great Wall of China. Each player starts with ten warriors in reserve, positioned on towers at either end of the board. The goal? Eliminate enemy troops until fewer than four units remain (on the field and in reserve). Gameplay is elegant: on your turn, choose one action — deploy a new warrior near your supply chain, move a piece up to two spaces (and adjust its facing), or shoot arrows that chain-react through enemy lines. Positioning is key: shields only protect the rear and flanks, so frontal attacks are deadly. And watch out for chain attacks — one arrow can hit multiple targets if they're aligned! With simple yet deep mechanics, every decision matters. Want a quick, brain-burning game full of 'aha!' moments? This wall is worth scaling.
