Get ready to take the stage and steal the show at King James' Faire! In Huzzah!, you're an entertainer trying your luck at a bustling Renaissance fair, filled with people and... well, Richard. Your goal is straightforward: attract the biggest audience and convert them into points to be the sole act returning next year. The board is a circular track with nine stages, and you move around looking for a spot to perform. The magic happens with card play: you secretly play your cards face down, then three dice are rolled to determine the movement of Richard, the faire's most annoying entertainment director. Only after he moves are the cards revealed.
Crowd cards attract the audience, but beware! If Richard is nearby, you lose points and your gathered spectators. Finale cards convert your audience into points, but also force you to move to a new stage – unless Richard is there, in which case you lose everything and have to start over. Want to mess with others? Bump cards let you move pawns around the board, and Huzzah! cards can scare away your audience, but if Richard is present, they become a goldmine of points! The first performer to reach 50 points secures their spot for the next fair season. It's a quick game with a dash of luck and plenty of interaction, perfect for those who enjoy a lively competition and a slightly chaotic theme.
