Get ready for total chaos in the asylum! In 'I am a banana', sanity is the first thing to go. The dynamic is simple yet hilarious: one player takes on the role of the Doctor, while everyone else plays as the 'special' patients who have completely lost track of who they are. The goal for the crazies is to work as a team to figure out what 'pathology' (meaning, which bizarre object or animal) each teammate believes they are, using only gestures and mime. But it's not that easy, because the Doctor is watching everything!
While the patients try to communicate through wild gestures, the Doctor tries to unmask them. He holds numbered cards from 1 to 7, and if he can guess who is who before time runs out, he 'burns' the patient and scores points solo. It's a race against the clock: you have only 90 seconds to decipher your teammates' madness before the Doctor restores order to the ward.
The game is pure energy and laughter, perfect for breaking the ice at parties or gathering friends for frantic miming sessions. There's nothing complex here; the focus is on social interaction and improvisational skills. If you love watching your friends try to imitate absurd things while someone desperately tries to guess to win the match, this game is the right choice. It's fast, dynamic, and ensures that no one stays still. The tension between the cooperation of the crazies and the Doctor's vigilance creates that 'we're all lost, but we're having fun' vibe, which is the essence of a great party game.
