About the game
What you do in a play session
Kapital! isn’t just a board game — it’s a sociology lesson disguised as fun. Designed by French creator Étienne Lécroart, the game throws you into the class struggle, where players take on roles of the privileged or the oppressed. Everyone starts with different (and intentionally unfair) conditions, racing to accumulate four types of capital: financial, social, cultural, and symbolic. The 76-space board represents Brazil’s average life expectancy, and the goal is to reach 'financial paradise' at the end. Along the way, Destiny cards will shake things up, mirroring real-life inequalities. The mechanics are simple (roll, move, draw cards), but the real magic is in the discussions it sparks about privilege and systemic injustice. Expect heated debates and maybe even a little outrage!
