About the game
Loot puts you in charge of a crew of gold‑hungry pirates. The game comes with 78 cards – trading ships, pirate ships, captains and an admiral – which are dealt to the players. Each round a player sends a trading ship on a voyage; the ship carries a gold value ranging from 2 to 8 coins. The other players then launch their pirate ships to try to capture it. Each pirate ship carries 1 to 4 skulls; the player who has the most skulls around the trading ship after a full pass around the table captures it and takes the gold. Captains of different colors provide bonuses and an admiral can reinforce the traders' defense. The game ends when the draw deck is exhausted or a player runs out of cards. The player with the most gold coins wins.

The core mechanic is hand management: you must decide which pirates to play, which to keep for defending your own traders, and when to use captains or the admiral. Conflict is resolved simply by the cards played, with no dice or complex tables, keeping the flow fast – about 20 minutes. The compact metal black box makes it easy to take anywhere, and the option to play in pairs or teams expands the player count from 2 to 8. While the rules are straightforward, watching what opponents have already used and planning future attacks adds a light strategic layer that satisfies both newcomers and veterans looking for a quick, fun bite.

With pirate humor and colorful art, Loot blends the tension of a raid with the accessibility of an entry‑level card game, making it perfect for casual evenings, parties, or a quick filler between heavier sessions.
