Ever watched a period drama filled with scandalous affairs, strategic marriages, and social climbing? Lords & Ladies drops you right into the middle of it! You take on the role of a noble family at the turn of the 20th century, aiming to climb the social ladder by building a powerful dynasty.
Your mission is to accumulate status points by marrying off your lords and ladies to the right suitors, hiring clever servants to boost your influence, and ensuring your family line continues through successful procreation. But being a noble isn's just about weddings and babies; it's about reputation. And in this game, reputation is everything.
The gameplay revolves around managing your resources—gold and cards—to execute your family-building-plan. However, the real fun begins when the gossip starts flying. You can use gossip-themed cards to spread rumors and tarnish your rivals'-reputations. It's a classic 'take that' mechanic where you can team up with others to bring down a leader, but be careful: if the gossip isn't confirmed by others, it might just blow up in your face. It's a fast-paced-card-game that balances hand management with direct-player-interaction. If you enjoy games where you can build something great while simultaneously making sure your neighbors look absolutely scandalous, this-is your game!
