In Mapaches, you'll assemble the city's most valuable raccoon gang — and yes, they wear stylish accessories! Each card features a raccoon with five visible parts (like hats, glasses, or necklaces) and a number. That number is dual-purpose: it tells you how many matching parts you need to recruit the critter AND how many points it's worth at the end. On your turn, pick a raccoon from the recruitment area and compare it with a card from your hand. If your matches meet the requirement, the raccoon joins your gang! The card you played becomes a new option for others, so the game keeps evolving. Oh, and there are accessory bonuses — if your gang dominates a particular type (most glasses or scarves, for example), extra points! The game ends when each player has 7-8 raccoons (depending on player count). Highest total from cards and bonuses wins. Pro tip: watch what accessories others are collecting...

Somewhat — cards appear randomly, but you choose how/when to play yours.
Does it have replay value?
Yes! Card combinations change every game, allowing different strategies.
Does it need much table space?
Nope, just enough for the central cards and your hand.
