If you're already diving into the Massive Darkness universe and feel like you need more chaos and heroes at your table, the Lightbringer Pack is the ultimate upgrade. Essentially, this set gathers everything that was part of the main Kickstarter pledge level, bringing a massive arsenal of content that drastically expands the gameplay possibilities.
First, let's talk about who's joining the fight: you get three new heroes — Myriam, Lil' Ned, and Sicarius — each with their own cards and unique abilities to diversify your party composition. But don't think it'll be easy, because CMON didn't hold back on the villains. The pack injects 18 varied enemies into the game, from Werewolves and Ogres to more exotic creatures like the Fomorian and the Nightmare Thing, all accompanied by their respective status cards.
Beyond the army of monsters, the pack provides geographical and narrative content. There are 6 new Lava and Crystal tiles, which change the look of the modular board, along with a quest book containing 6 new missions to test your group's resilience. To top it all off, there are several 'extra' bosses and minions (such as Orcs and Goblins) that, while not marked as exclusives, add that extra spice to the battles.
To keep things organized, the kit also includes useful accessories, such as a dice bag and notation pads for the Bonecrusher class. It's worth noting that since this is dense content with many cards, players using localized versions might find the need for complementary translations to fully enjoy the lore and rules of the new components.
